This week in Hawks we have been learning all about decimals in maths. We are using our fraction knowledge to help us understand decimal numbers. We have also written our final newspaper reports in English this week. We used our class book 'The Iron Man' as inspiration and reported on them finding a car bitten in half! Here are some of our reports!

In History, we have been exploring why the Anglo-Saxons invaded Britain and spoke about 'push and pull factors'. We enjoyed writing letters as a British King asking the Anglo-Saxons to come and help us defend the land! In PSHE we had a wonderful debate about the importance of animals and whether it is right to be a meat eater or a vegetarian! In PE, we are loving playing tennis and beginning to focus on athletics (ready for next term sports day). 

Star of the Week:

This week our star of the week is ... Olive! Olive has produced some wonderful writing this week and has really tried hard with her focus and writing stamina! Well done Olive!
