Week 3 20/04/20

Wednesday 22nd April 2020

Hello Hawks,

Just checking in to say hello and remind you all that you are doing a great job getting back into the swing of home learning after a two week break.

Great to hear from some of you today sharing what you have achieved this week, and lots of you have been onto MyMaths so well done. It's a new learning resource so please do not worry if you have not been able to get everything spot on this week.

Just remember, it's okay to have good days and feel motivated and ready to go, but it's also okay to have days when things are more challenging.  We are all taking time this week to get back into working from home and are all missing each other and our friends. Do what you can and remember; small steps.

You are half way through the week, so keep going. Stay strong and stay safe.

Mrs Willoughby

Monday 20th April 2020

Hello Hawks! Welcome back to home learning after the two week Easter break. I hope you had some lovely days off doing things you enjoy with your families under the current climate.

This weeks home learning follows the same format as week 1 and week 2, with one additional extra. Your parents will have received an email with your MyMaths log in details and passwords. Keep these letters safe as I will be setting MyMaths questions for you each week.

I would encourage you to start this weeks home learning with the virtual assembly, the link is on the English page of your home learning as it threads through some of your writing and one of your maths tasks.

You have PSHE and DT as your two week foundation stage subjects. Take your time over these and plan them with illustrations and notes. Remember drafts and designs are equally as important as the finished product.

There are some great thoughts and ideas to help keep you safe, not just physically during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our mental health and wellbeing is vitally important too. There are some lovely calming activities and breathing exercises as well as games and yoga videos.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you this week and hearing how you are, and what you got up to in the holidays and how your home learning is going.

Have a good week, enjoy the new MyMaths learning.
