Summer Term 1 Week 4

Another full week of learning ...

This week in owls class we have had another great week of learning! We have been working really hard in our phonics and literacy and have produced some amazing writing! We are now able to write full sentences on our own by sounding out the words and even use capital letters and full stops!

In maths we are looking at our teen numbers and have been exploring their value and the patterns within the numbers. Owls are super at their maths and have really impressed us this week especially!

This week's star of the week is ... Jayden. Jayden is always a superstar in school and has shown great enthusiasm within all of his learning! Well done Jayden! I know that Oliver the Owl will love spending the weekend with you!

Reminders:

  • Next Thursday is our school Castle trip. Please ensure the slips are back into school before Thursday and that the children come to school in full school uniform with the correct clothing for the weather that day. They will all need a packed lunch and water bottle for the trip. We will be leaving at exactly 9am to be there in time, so please ensure your child is in school before then.
  • Next Friday we have Chippenham Sports Partnership coming in to teach the children some sport. Please could they wear their PE kit next Friday to ensure they are ready for that session.
  • Please ensure reading books and reading records are in school each day.
  • Homework is sent via tapestry and should be uploaded before the following Friday. I will be making a list of those who haven't uploaded to ensure that it is accessible to all.

Have a lovely weekend Owls and I will see you on Monday.
