Autumn Term 1 Week 4
Term 1 Week 4
Kestrels we are already half way through the first term in Year 2! Time flies when you're having fun.
We have really started to develop our writing and are loving joining our handwriting. We have re-written the story of The Flower, making sure we have been using our capital letters and full stops. In History we have learnt so much already about Queen Elizabeth II and her family. We no know the meaning of the words monarch and reign which we spoke about on our knowledge organisers.
In maths we are continuing to practice our doubles, 2, 5 and 10 times tables, and number bonds to 20 each day. We have also been focusing on addition this week, using lots of resources to help us.
The children are thoroughly enjoying music this term and I (Miss Reed) love to watch your performances!
Finally, we really enjoyed all of our friends and family coming to watch our Harvest Assembly on Thursday. We have shown great excitement and understanding when learning about harvest around the world, and of course enjoyed practising our harvest songs. Our new favourite seems to be Harvest Rock and Roll!
Have a great weekend and I will see you on Monday for another week full of learning and fun!
