First full week back at school.
What an amazing first full week back we've had! This week we have been looking at making numbers using lots of different resources. In English, we have started our class text and started writing our own descriptions of characters. We have looked at the 'ay' sound in phonics, set goals for year 2, painted, had music lessons, played hockey and much more. It is lovely that the children are back together and myself and Mrs Nicholls are so impressed with how the children have adapted to their new routine. Thank you as well to parents for adapting to getting back to school, staggered starts and finishes and different PE days.
You will find the curriculum newsletter under the 'our curriculum' tab of the website and home learning and knowledge organisers will also be under the relevant tab.
A couple of reminders:
PE days are Monday's and Thursday's.
Water bottles must be in school everyday please, clearly labelled as we have quite a few the same.
Coats need to be in school everyday, whatever the weather we want to make the most of the outdoor space so coats are essential.
The children will be asked to have their reading books and reading record books in school everyday. We have new books so please bear with us, they will be ready to go out by the end of next week.
Weekly homework will be sent in a plastic document file on a Friday and expected in the next Friday.
Finally, in our celebration worship with Falcons class, we celebrated someone in our class who showed this terms value of generosity. Well done again to Ellie-Rose! We also shared Hunter's amazing writing in English, so well done Hunter!
Have a good weekend! I am really looking forward to the rest of the year!
