Summer Term 2 Week 3
Sports day and colour run!
We have had a very sporty week at BBV this week!
On Monday the sun was shining for our exciting sports day. All the children were in great spirits, and they all did so well in their events! It was lovely to see family and friends supporting them too! Well done to the winners Biddestone!
This week, we have continued our statistics unit in maths and looked at reading tables and drawing our own! The children enjoyed making tally charts of outdoor equipment and creating their own tables of things they could see with chalk.
In English, we are preparing to write a diary entry. In order to do this, we are learning about the features included. The children have been practising using verbs and adverbs and have also learnt about how to use a thesaurus to make their writing more effective!
Finally, to end our sunny week, the children took part in BBV's annual colour run! The children all ran around the field, through obstacles and powdered paint! They all looked amazing, covered in colour. To finish, they enjoyed a refreshing ice pop.
Thank you for all of your support this week during our busy events!
Reminder that the children will have forest school next Friday!
Have a lovely weekend.
Miss Hamilton :)
