Week 5 (4/5/20)

Hello Kestrels,

Week 5 of home learning already! I hope you are enjoying it and are collecting all of your wonderful home learning for us to celebrate when we are together again.

I have been so pleased to hear from your parents about your home learning and how much fun you are having at home with your families. Keep going as you are all doing brilliantly.

I hope you all received your reports in the post and enjoyed sharing your achievements with your parents. I am really proud of you all and how brilliant you have been, not only in school but also during such a strange time.

This weeks learning is structured the same as the past 4 weeks, including; English, maths, phonics and reading tasks. As well as foundation subjects such as RE, science, art and PE. Please ensure that you are reading regularly at home and are participating with the online phonics lessons given by the link attached.

This week, on the 8th of May, marks the 75th anniversary of VE day. VE day celebrated the end of World War II so I have included some activities that you may wish to complete. I have also attached some links to explain what VE day is and how we can celebrate it at home.

I am also able to see how amazingly well you are getting on with My Maths. Please ensure you complete all tasks set for the week by completing the 'homework tasks'. I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of your progress and achievements on there.

Finally, make sure you are staying active by choosing some activities from last weeks PE newsletter. It's so important to keep moving so that our body and mind stay healthy.

I hope you have another wonderful week learning at home and enjoy the tasks set for you. I can't wait to hear about your learning and all of the other wonderful things you get up to.

Keep smiling and I will hopefully see you all soon.      Miss Reed x
