We have had a lovely first week back in Falcons!

All the children have settled in well and have already taken on Year 1 routines with stride!

This week we have focused on getting to know our classroom, baseline assessments with the children and settling back into school life!

It has been lovely to watch and be involved in the children's provision in the classroom, asking questions and hearing the children's wide imagination and curiosity flourish. 

In our PSHE session this week, we met Jigsaw Jack, who is going to help us in Year 1. We told Jigsaw Jack how we can make Year 1 a safe space and how we can look after each other every day!

In English this week we wrote about our summer holidays! Each child wrote their sentences independently as well as drawing a picture and spoke about their experiences from the summer. I enjoyed hearing about all the fun they had. 

Next week we will be starting our topic on The Great Fire of London, sorting and counting objects, recapping the initial code in phonics as well as much more!
