Autumn 1, week 4

In Literacy, we read the beautiful story Leaf Man. Inspired by the book, we used our imaginations to create our very own leaf people and animals. We also went on a welly walk to collect natural treasures from outside, which made our creations extra special.

In Maths, we have been working hard to order numbers up to 5. The children enjoyed playing games to practise their counting skills, and we have also learnt some new songs to help us count all the way up to 10!

In Music, we had lots of fun exploring how to make sounds with different parts of our bodies – from clapping to stomping and even clicking. The children loved experimenting and discovering how many sounds they could create.

We also celebrated European Languages Day. The children were very excited to learn how to say “hello” in French, and we made our own colourful French flags to mark the occasion.

Finally, a huge well done to our Star of the Week, Rosie! She has followed our school promises beautifully and has shown what a kind and thoughtful friend she is.

Have a lovely weekend
