In English, we are looking at diary writing. We looked at Samuel Pepys' diary from the Great Fire of London, and we created a checklist of features diaries need to include.

In maths, we have been looking at adding two 2-digit numbers. We used a place value chart and base 10 to help us with this. Especially when we have to exchange 10 ones for 1 ten if the ones added to over 10.

Ready for a display the school are making next week, we created our own poppies for Remembrance Day. We used our knowledge of collaging from art last term to make our poppies. They turned out brilliantly and we cannot wait to see them altogether next week.

We had our first forest school session of the year! We loved going on a nature walk on the school grounds, noticing how the season is changing and asking Mr Summers questions about things we saw. We climbed trees, created artwork with our surroundings and we roasted marshmallows on the fire!
