Term 2, Week 2! 14.11.25

A busy week celebrating many important causes.

Our poppy display for Remembrance looked amazing at the front of the school.

We started the week by wearing odd socks for Anti-Bullying Week. The theme this year was use your power for good and the children were set a challenge to do something kind every day. Throughout the week, we also did activities linking to the theme and reminded the children how important it is to talk to a trusted adult if they or they see anyone being hurt, whether that is physically or by words.

We loved building shelters in forest school this week. The children showed great team work and perseverance.

We ended the week by celebrating Children in Need. Throughout the week, Kestrels have been completing a 25 dance step challenge with the Strictly Come Dancing Professionals, 25 laps of the playground, and a sports challenge run by the sports leaders. It was great seeing the children's enthusiasm while taking part in the challenges.

Reminders:

  • PE days for Term 2 are Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Last Forest School session on Wednesday.
  • Please bring in reading books and reading records every day and read 5 times a week at home. Remember an adult needs to sign the reading records.
  • Spellings will come home on Monday. Please practice these every day at home ready for our spelling test on Fridays.

Have a wonderful weekend!
