Spring 1, week 1
We’ve had such a fantastic start to our new term in the Owls class! This week, we began our exciting new topic all about superheroes. We talked about what makes someone a superhero and discovered that real heroes don’t always wear capes — many of the children chose superheroes who live in their own homes!
In maths, we’ve been busy exploring the number 10. The children have been finding different ways to make 10, playing number games, and even learning a super catchy song about number bonds to 10.
In RE, we learnt all about New Year celebrations. We found out how people around the world celebrate in different ways and talked about how it feels to start a brand new year. The children created beautiful firework pictures, made colourful Happy New Year hats, and thought carefully about their New Year promises.
A huge well done to our Star of the Week – Summer-Star!
She has been working so hard on her letter formation and has even been practising during Busy Bee time. We are all so proud of you, Summer-Star — keep up the amazing work!
Have a lovely weekend
