Term 3, Week 4! 30.01.26

In Maths, we have been exploring halves and quarters. We learnt what these fractions mean and practised finding half and a quarter of shapes and quantities. It was wonderful to see them explaining their thinking and using mathematical language with growing confidence.

Our Science lessons focused on offspring and parents. We investigated whether all offspring look the same as their parents, noticing similarities and differences. This led to some thoughtful discussions and great curiosity about the natural world.

In RE, we discussed why Muslims might want to pray in a Mosque. We learnt that Muslims may pray in a mosque because it is a special, peaceful place where they can focus on worship and feel close to Allah. We also discussed how praying together helps Muslims feel part of a community and supports their faith.

During PSHE, the children worked brilliantly in teams to create an art project. They collaborated to produce a beautiful bird collage artwork, developing their teamwork, communication and creativity skills along the way.

In Class Worship, we spent time reflecting on perseverance and determination. The children shared examples of times when they kept going, even when things felt tricky, and celebrated how trying their best helps them grow.

We loved watching Year 4's class assembly! Our favourite bit was the Roman road song they sang.
