We have had a wonderful World Book Week in Reception! The children loved decorating our class door with Supertato characters and it looked fantastic. We also enjoyed having some secret readers visit our classroom. A big thank you to Eric and Poppy’s Mummies for coming in to read to Owls – the children really enjoyed the stories!

In Maths this week we have been learning about 2D shapes. The children played lots of fun games to help them describe the shapes and talk about their properties. We also went on a shape hunt around the school, and I was very impressed with how many shapes the children managed to find.

On our Welly Walk this week, we made maps of the playground and talked about the different things we could see and where they were. The children did a great job thinking about how to represent the playground on their maps.

A big well done to our Star of the Week, Isabelle! She has been working so hard and we are very proud of her.
