ST2 - Week 3

Here’s What We’ve Been Learning This Week

English
In English, the children practised writing using direct speech and personification, bringing their writing to life with more descriptive language. They also planned the structure of their story, ready to develop their ideas further in the coming lessons.

Maths
In maths, we continued developing our understanding of division with remainders. The children used their multiplication knowledge to help them solve more challenging division questions and worked on corresponding problems to deepen their understanding.

Science
In science, we explored the environment of By Brook Valley and compared it to larger environments around the world. The children considered how environments can change due to different natural and human factors.

Religion and Worldviews (R.W.)
In R & W, we continued exploring forgiveness in the Bible. The children learnt about the Parable of the Lost Son and discussed how many times Jesus teaches Christians to forgive others.

French
In French, the children practised describing items they have in their bags, using vocabulary for classroom objects.

Computing
In computing, the children were challenged to independently code different shapes, working out which commands they needed to use to create them successfully.

Art
In art, the children created their final sketches for their landscape artwork of By Brook Valley. Next week, they will begin painting their landscapes in the style of Georgia O'Keeffe.
