Term 4, Week 5! 27.03.26
We loved our trip to Longleat! The children had an amazing time exploring and seeing so many incredible animals up close. We especially loved our workshop holding different animals and learning about how they adapt to their habitats.
Back in the classroom, we used this experience to write detailed recounts in English. The children worked hard to include expanded noun phrases to describe the animals, time conjunctions to structure their writing, and conjunctions to extend their sentences—what brilliant authors they are becoming!
In Science, we answered our big question: “Why don’t polar bears live in England?” The children impressed us by showing off all the knowledge they have gained this term, explaining habitats and how animals adapt to their environments.
In music, we had lots of fun creating pitch patterns on the glockenspiels to represent space. It was wonderful to hear the children experimenting and composing their own pieces.
We were also incredibly proud of the children during our Easter service. They read their prayers with confidence and sang beautifully—it was a truly special moment.
Star of the Week:
Louis-Raphael for a confident speaking voice in the Easter service.
