Term 5, Week 2! 24.04.26

In English, we used The Queen’s Hat to inspire our work. We explored exciting verbs, practised using coordinating conjunctions to join sentences, and learnt how to write using the past progressive form of verbs. The children showed great imagination in their writing!

In Maths, we focused on arithmetic. We worked hard to remember the different methods we can use to help solve questions and practised applying them with confidence.

During DT, we made our own wraps by carefully following our plans. Afterwards, we evaluated them, thinking about what went well and what we might improve next time. It was great fun and very tasty too!

In Science, we learnt about the life cycle of a bean. We explored how new plants grow from mature plants through seed dispersal and enjoyed discovering how plants reproduce.

A special well done to Kestrels for their fantastic class assembly. They spoke with loud, clear voices and confidently shared their learning from the year. You should all feel very proud—well done, Kestrels!
