This week in Drawing Club Owls listened to the story of Superworm. We learnt some exciting new vocabulary including zooming, calamity, heroic, wriggling and indestructible. The children had lots of fun writing their own secret codes to make magical things happen in their drawings and used their imaginations brilliantly!

In Maths, we have been exploring sharing. We listened to the story The Last Marshmallow and used the sentence stems: “It is equal because…” and “It is fair because…." The Owls worked hard to explain their thinking and showed a great understanding of fair sharing.

On our welly walk, we discussed the life cycle of a butterfly before releasing our butterflies today. The Owls loved watching them flutter away into the sunshine, and one butterfly even decided to spend quite a bit of time resting on Yohan’s arm!

A huge well done to our Star of the Week, Rosie! Rosie has worked so hard on her reading and should be very proud of herself. Keep up the fantastic work, Rosie!
