Term 6, Week 2! 12.06.26
In English, the children completed their whole-school Hot Writes. They worked incredibly hard and produced some fantastic setting and character descriptions for their stories. We were so impressed with their creativity, use of descriptive language, and the progress they have made in their writing.
In Maths, we finished our unit on movement and turns. The children have developed much greater confidence in identifying and making left and right turns, as well as understanding clockwise and anticlockwise directions. It has been lovely to see them applying these skills with increasing accuracy.
During Computing lessons, we focused on online safety. We discussed the importance of thinking carefully before sharing information online, learning that anything posted online can potentially be seen by others and may remain there for a very long time. The children engaged thoughtfully with these important discussions and demonstrated a growing understanding of how to stay safe online.
In Art, we enjoyed painting our clay leaf prints. The children carefully applied paint to their creations, making the beautiful leaf patterns stand out. They were delighted to see their finished pieces and should be very proud of their artistic work.
In our Key Stage Worship, we explored the question, "Why is it important to be truthful?" The children shared some thoughtful ideas, linking their responses to previous learning and discussing how honesty helps us build trust, make good choices, and strengthen our relationships with others.
