Week 2 - 11/09/26

We have had a very busy and exciting week, beginning our Drawing Club journey with The Colour Monster. The children enjoyed exploring the story and creating their very own secret codes to make magic happen!

During our Welly Walk this week, we took some time to stop, listen and think carefully about the sounds we could hear around us. We heard lots of interesting sounds – including lots of racing cars!

In Maths, we explored the numbers 1, 2 and 3 and represented each number using natural objects we found outside. The children enjoyed collecting and arranging the objects to show their numbers.

It has been lovely to see the Owls enjoying staying for dinner this week. They have also been fantastic at making new friends, settling into our classroom and learning all of our new routines.

We have also sent home a sheet showing the sounds we have learnt this week in Sounds-Write. Please practise these sounds together at home when you can. This will help the children to become more confident with their phonics.

Well done to our star of the week- Hugo! Hugo has been listening beautifully on the carpet and trying his best.

Well done, Owls, on a fantastic first full week!

Have a lovely weekend
