Week 3–18/09/26
This week, we have been using the sounds s, a, t, p and i to build and read words. We have also learnt the tricky word ‘I’ and have been practising using it in our reading and writing. The children have been fantastic at listening carefully and blending the sounds together.
In maths, we have been learning to order the numbers 1 to 5. We have been practising recognising the numbers and putting them in the correct order.
In PE, we have been practising our new dance! The children have been working hard to remember the movements and have even had the opportunity to use pom-poms. They have loved dancing and performing together!
On our welly walk today, we talked about the different seasons and looked carefully for signs that autumn is arriving. We spotted changes in the trees and enjoyed exploring our outdoor environment.
Well done to Oliver, our Star of the Week! Oliver has been working incredibly hard in Sounds-Write and has shown fantastic effort with his sounds and word building.
Have a lovely weekend
