Autumn 1 week 4
Another busy week in Ospreys!
Ospreys have been working hard with their learning this week.
In English, we wrote our hot write based on UP and children had to describe their characters and the setting the housey landed in. The children have worked very hard on their writing.
In maths, we have been adding and subtracting 10s from a 3-digit number. This can be tricky when the hundreds are changing but they all persevered. We then started learning about number lines and how to estimate a number on a number line.
In Geography, we have been learning about the different time zones around the world.
In R&W we read the story of Adam and Eve and how they disobeyed God. We discussed if their behaviour was right or wrong and what we should do if we are tempted by things.
Today we have been celebrating European Languages Day. As a class we focused on Portugal and learnt lots of facts about the country. We also had some visitors come in and teach us some Spanish and French.
The children have been practising their singing ready for the Harvest Service on 8th October.
Star of the week is Sami. Sami always tries his best and perseveres even when it is tricky.
Please continue to read 5x a week as part of home learning and record in their reading record and practice TTRS.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Miss Boddy :)
