Autumn 1 Week 4 and 5

Over the past couple of weeks, we have been working hard to establish positive learning behaviours in Year 4. We have been following our school promises and working hard in all areas of the curriculum!
In English, we finished our narrative pieces and enjoyed writing another version of the story of Up! We ended our pieces of writing on a cliffhanger to fill our readers full of suspense! We are now focusing on poetry and writing poems inspired by our class book.
In maths, we have moved onto addition and subtraction. We are focusing on using column addition and subtraction to add and subtract 4-digit numbers. We are consistently working on our problem-solving and reasoning to secure our understanding.
We have started preparing our learning for our Harvest festival, and can't wait to share it with our families.
In PE we are working hard on our dance for the dance festival and have also developed our very own games to teach the Owls children. We have used our teamwork skills and game development ideas to help the younger children in the school and show our leadership skills.
We have loved our Geography and Art lessons on a Monday and Tuesday and are working towards answering our 'big questions'.
