Autumn 2 Week 3
It was anti-bullying week this week. We started the week with Odd Sock Day and talked about how we are all different and how important it is to accept everyone. On Monday it was also Kindness Day and the children all wrote kind things about the person they were sitting next to. It was lovely to hear such wonderful things about everyone.
We have been talking about bullying a lot this week and discussed what bullying is and how we can help someone being bullied, what to do if you are being bullied and how to support everyone. The children were all engaged in this and they all created brilliant posters for anti-bullying which we shared in our celebration assembly on Friday.
We introduced our new motto at By Brook Valley: Be Kind, Be Brave, Value Everyone. In class we have been making bees for our whole school display in the corridor and paper mache bees to be hung from the ceiling. The children really enjoy doing this.
We had our last Forest schools session on Friday. We had lots of fun creating things with leaves and sticks as well as having a fire and toasting a marshmallow!
Star of the Week
Star for the week this week is Amelia. Amelia has a great attitude to learning and is always trying her best. She is always smiling too which is lovely. Well done Amelia.
Please can you continue to read with your child 5x a week and bring in reading records on Friday.
Thank you for your continued support.
Miss Boddy :)
