Our “Books in a Box” creations were absolutely brilliant — every single one showed imagination and hard work. Thank you to everyone at home who supported the children; the results were a joy to see.

Across the school, each class has decorated their door based on a chosen book. Ospreys loved designing ours around How to Train Your Dragon, complete with dragons and Vikings.

We also enjoyed a special surprise reader this week — one of our Governors, Merope, joined us to share a story which the children loved. On Friday, we rounded off the celebrations with a teacher class reader swap.

In Maths, we continued exploring the link between multiplication and division. The children have been practising their timetables and using them to solve related division facts.

Our English lessons focused on the features of non-chronological reports. Ospreys have been learning to write in the third person, use technical vocabulary, and include fronted adverbials to organise information clearly. They’re already beginning to apply these skills in their own writing.

In Geography, we investigated how rainfall affects Florida and compared it to the UK. The children were fascinated by the differences in climate and enjoyed discussing how weather shapes daily life in different places.

In Science, we explored the differences between igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks. The children examined examples closely and used scientific vocabulary to describe how each type is formed.

Easter Service Practice

We have begun practising for our Easter Service, which we look forward to showing you on the last Thursday of term. The children are already singing beautifully and showing great commitment.

Star of the Week

A huge well done to Ted, our Star of the Week! Ted has shown fantastic perseverance in his learning and has made thoughtful contributions in class. Well done Ted!
