This week in Hawks we have been writing our Hot writes in English. We have created wonderful non-chronological reports all about the Ancient Egyptians. We used lots of the information from our History lessons to create our reports and loved including paragraphs, conjunctions and Year 4 punctuation! In maths, we have loved our fraction learning and are now adding and subtracting improper fractions and mixed numbers. In Science, we have been focusing on classifying animals based on their similarities and differences and have been creating our own classification keys. 

Experience Easter at Yatton Keynell Church:

This week we were very grateful for our experience church session at Yatton Keynell church. We got to experience the Easter story in church and do lots of different activities. Thank you to the helpers at the church!

Star of the week:

This week we had a celebration assembly on Monday and one on Thursday to celebrate our stars as this term we have been super busy on a Friday! This week our Monday star was ... Jim! Jim has been making great choices with his learning in the classroom! Our star on Thursday was ... Aelora! Aelora has been making excellent friendship choices at playtimes! Well done Aelora!

Things to remember:  

• Home learning is being sent home today. 
• Reading records and books need to be in school each day. 
• The weather is getting warmer so children must have a water bottle in with them each day and a sun hat if it is sunny.
• Next Thursday is our annual Easter Service at Biddestone church. 
• Next Friday is our last day of term, we finish at 2pm as we will be running our annual Easter Fair!
