Our first week back of our last term in Year 4! What a busy week already! 

This week in English we did our last whole school hot write for the year. This time our focus was on a book called 'Journey'. A story about a girl who draws a door with a magic red crayon and enters another world! We loved imagining our own worlds that our characters could go into and explore! We focused on using description, dialogue and an interesting ending to make it intriguing for our readers. 

We have been continuing our learning about decimals and have been adding them to make a whole! We also enjoyed doing some online safety and computing with Miss Davies. In Science, we planned and completed our experiment all about sound. We used different materials to test which would muffle sound the most effectively. 

In PE we have been practising our sports day events ready for sports day in a couple of weeks time! 

Star of the week: 

This week our star of the week in Hawks is ... Luka! Luka showed great focus and determination when completing his whole school hot write this week! Well done Luka! 

Things to remember:

- Please remember water bottles and reading books/records in each day. 

- Next Tuesday is our linger and learn science session. 

- Please remember that we are a NUT FREE school as some children in the school have severe allergies. Please refrain from including nut products in your child's packed lunch. Thank you :).
