Summer 2 Week 2

This week we have been enjoying the nicer weather and putting lots of effort into our learning!

In maths we have been consolidating our fractions and decimals learning and even converting fractions to decimal numbers! We found this quite challenging and showed great perseverance in class. We have also loved writing wonderful poems about Tigers inspired by William Blake's Poem 'Tyger'. We can't wait to complete our poems next week and pair them with some beautiful artwork to create a display outside our classroom!

In PE we have been putting our efforts into practising for sports day, which is next week! We can't wait to enjoy some competition in track and field events and, most importantly, we can't wait to celebrate each other's strengths and achievements.

This week we also completed our Multiplication Check in Year 4. Everyone tried their very best and took care in their answers. Well done Year 4.

Things to remember:

  • Next Wednesday is our sports day and next Friday is our colour run afternoon!
  • Home learning was sent home today, please check bags for this.
  • Water bottles and sun hats each day as it is getting warmer.
  • Reading records and books in each day.

Have a lovely weekend! Miss Reed x
