Week 3!

Another week done! Well done Hawks.
Well it has been another busy week in Hawks Class!
We have continued with our diary writing, looking at the features of a diary and pulling ideas from Escape From Pompeii, we have looked at fronted adverbials and practised writing with them today.
In Maths we have continued with our place value, looking at number lines, finding the missing number by dividing the value of the number line by the number of intervals. We have looked at number lines to 10, 100 and 1,000. Really deepening our knowledge together as a class. If you wanted to support your child with this, drawing a number line to 10, 100 or 1,000 and making sure there are either, 2, 5 or 10 intervals to divide by.
In History we have continued our Roman topic, looking at what life was like before the Romans invaded, we have learnt about Celts and Celtic life!
We have investigated pitch and volume in Science and have had a go at drawing sound waves that match a noise we have created. Exploring why something might be higher or lower in pitch.
P.S.H.E they were super engaged with this week, Hawks explored an emotion thermometer and the different emotions that match the colours, realising that a wide range different emotions can correlate to a colour.
If you could continue to keep:
- Reading 5x a week at home, that would be amazing!
Finally, well done to Hawks star of the week, Olivia!! It is well deserved!
