It has been great to welcome the children back to school and into their new class, Ospreys. The children have all settled well back into school, remembering the routines and expectations and have worked hard this week.

In PSHE, we have been getting to know each other and discussing the expectations of year 3. We have been learning about what makes a great team and how we can be a great team member. In teams, children had to work together to find pieces of a puzzle and put it together.

In English, first we wrote about our best day ever, then we wrote sentences with expanded noun phrases using a jungle picture as inspiration.

In Maths, we have started exploring place value using our base 10 resources to support our understanding of building numbers in tens and hundreds.

The children had PE with Mr Peters and are doing gymnastics this term.

PE days are Wedneday and Thursday.
