Welcome back after the summer holiday. I hope you all had a lovely break.

The children have settled well into Ospreys class. They have settled into school routines again and have worked hard to follow the school promises.

This week we worked together as a team to write our class rules and understand the importance of team work.

In Maths, we have started with place value and recapping previous learning from year 2.

In English, we talked about what makes a good writer and recapped nouns, adjectives and verbs. We used a jungle picture to write sentences about what we could see using these.

In PE, we had fun practising our throwing and catching skills by using bean bags, tennis balls and small balls.

In Geography, we have started our new topic 'Why do people live in challenging places?' We started looking at the area we live in and focusing on where Yatton Keynell is in the world. 

Star of the week:

Our first star of the week is Luchia! Luchia has shown great effort in class and has followed the school promises.
