Term 6, Week 6! 11.07.25

We got some exciting post in the mail this week! At the end of last term, Miss Knapp sent our letters about saving the ocean to King Charles and we got a reply this week. The children were so excited to get a response.
We had By Brook's Music concert this week where every class did a performance and other children learning an instrument had the opportunity to perform if they liked. It was a brilliant morning seeing everyone's performances. Kestrels did amazingly performing the Samba Rhythms we have been learning.
Then it was Gallery Night! Thank you to everyone that came and supported the gallery night and made donations towards Art Resources.
Another exciting thing that has happened this week is Turnaround! It has been lovely getting to know Kestrels Class of 25-26. So far we have made fact files all about Kestrels, made poems about Kestrels with rhymes, created Kestrel collages, played number bond and addition and subtraction maths games, composed music with percussion instruments representing a Kestrel flying, and much, much more! It has been a great two days, and we cannot wait to have the last turnaround day on Monday!
Reminders:
- Last day of Turnaround on Monday (14th July)
- PE days for Term 6 are Wednesday (ultimate frisbee) and Thursday (athletics).
- Please bring in reading books and reading records every day and read 5 times a week at home. Remember an adult needs to sign the reading records.
- Spellings will come home on Monday. Please practice these every day at home ready for our spelling test on Fridays.
- Practice your times tables on TTRockstars using the login stuck in your reading record.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Miss Knapp
