Term 3, Week 3! 23.01.26
In English, the children continued being poets as they wrote their own poems Once Upon a Windstorm. The children made sure to include all their ideas from their plans for rhyme, alliteration and the present progressive tense.
In Maths, we focused on the 5 times table. The children practised counting in 5s, spotting patterns, and using different strategies to help them remember their multiplication facts. Keep practising your 2, 5 and 10 times tables at home please!
Our art session was full of colour as we explored watercolour painting. The children experimented with blending colours using water and brushes, creating some beautiful effects while developing their painting skills.
In Science, we learnt about offspring and their adult animals, discussing which baby animals come from different adults and noticing similarities and differences.
We also enjoyed our calming yoga PE session, helping us practise mindfulness, balance, and relaxation—something the children really loved.
During class worship, we continued to focus on this term's value of perseverance. The children created their own medals to give themselves when they feel proud of showing perseverance with something in school. It was a lovely way to reflect on effort and resilience.
