Term 6, Week 6! 10.07.26

What another busy and exciting week we've had in Year 2!

The warm weather has continued, but the children have been fantastic at staying focused and making sure they keep hydrated. Our regular "hydration breaks" have helped everyone stay refreshed and ready for learning, and we have been so impressed with the children's positive attitude throughout the week.

One of the highlights was taking part in 'By Brooks' Got Talent'. The children loved performing in front of the whole school and showed such confidence, enthusiasm and teamwork. Every class put on a wonderful performance, and we were incredibly proud of them all.

It was also lovely to see so many families at our Gallery Night. The event was a great success, and the children's artwork looked absolutely amazing on display. They were so proud to share their creativity and hard work with everyone.

Towards the end of the week, we began our Turnaround days. It has been a pleasure spending two days with the new Kestrels, and I am looking forward to spending Monday with them as well. We have been sharing the beautiful book 'We Are Together'. It has encouraged us to think about the importance of friendship and teamwork. We have enjoyed completing a range of activities linked to these themes, helping the children build their friendships and work together as they prepare for the new school year.

Star of the Week:

Nia for being helpful and settling into year 2 so well.
