This week we introduced our topic about new life. We went on a life hunt around the school field and the outside area. Owls found lots of things that were alive and noticed the signs of spring. Owls took pictures with the school Ipads. We wrote descriptive sentences about the signs of spring and life that we found. 

In maths, we build numbers from 11 to 20 with numicon and unifix. Owls were fantastic at noticing patterns and learnt that the 1 in teen numbers represents 10. The children loved working collaboratively with practical resources to make teen numbers. 

Owls have loved learning a new digraph in Sounds-Write. We have been reading and writing words with the ch sound. 

We have planted some cress this week and are very excited to see how it changes as it grows!
