Autumn 1, week 6

This week, we enjoyed reading the hilarious book Oi Frog! by Kes Gray. The children had so much fun listening to all the silly rhymes and thinking of their own! We practised coming up with words that rhyme and even made up some funny sentences to go with our animals.
In Maths, we’ve been practising our number formation for numbers 1 to 5. The children worked really hard to form each number correctly and are becoming much more confident in recognising and writing them.
We are so proud of how confident the Owls were during our Harvest Festival at church. They sang beautifully and spoke with such confidence—it was truly a special moment. Well done, Owls, for sharing your voices and smiles with everyone!
On Friday, we celebrated Mental Health Day by wearing yellow to show that we care about looking after our minds as well as our bodies. We talked about the things that make us happy and how we can help our minds stay healthy—like spending time with friends, talking about our feelings, and taking time to relax. To top it all off, we had a fantastic Taekwondo session, which everyone loved!

Have a lovely weekend
