Spring 1, week 3

In Literacy, the children created wanted posters to warn everyone about the evil pea. They thought carefully about what the pea looked like and why he was so naughty, and used their brilliant ideas to add detail to their drawings and writing. We also practised forming the letters y and u using Squiggle While You Wiggle, helping us to build strong and confident letter shapes.

In Maths, we have been learning to find 1 more and 1 less than a number up to 10. The children did a fantastic job counting carefully and explaining their thinking. The Owls especially loved playing the game Around the World to practise this skill and showed great enthusiasm and teamwork.

In RE, we learnt about how Chinese families celebrate Chinese New Year. The children enjoyed finding out about special traditions, celebrations, and how families spend time together during this important festival.

Well done to Eric, our Star of the Week! Eric always tries his best in everything he does and is a very kind and caring friend to others. We are so proud of you, Eric!

Have a lovely weekend
