This week in Reception, we learnt the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears in Drawing Club. The children really impressed us with their imaginative ideas and fantastic secret codes. It was wonderful to see their creativity and enthusiasm for storytelling.

In Maths, we have been exploring sharing in a creative way using art supplies. The children have enjoyed making mathematical pictures to represent sharing equally and have even been introduced to the division symbol (÷). Some children are now able to write number sentences to explain their mathematical drawings, which is a fantastic achievement.

In Music, we looked at a variety of musical instruments and learnt about what an orchestra is. The children enjoyed discovering the different instruments that work together to create music.

Our Star of the Week is Dakota for her enthusiasm and hard work with her reading. Well done, Dakota – we are very proud of you!

A reminder that PE will take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays this term. Please ensure your child comes to school with the correct PE kit on these days.
