Summer 2, week 2

In Drawing Club, we learnt the story The Enormous Turnip. The Owls really impressed us with their wonderful drawings and creative secret codes as they retold parts of the story. We loved seeing all of their imaginative ideas come to life.

In Maths, we have been learning about grouping and making doubles. The children have enjoyed exploring different ways to group objects and have been working hard to recognise and create doubles.

During our Welly Walk, we took our learning outdoors and used natural objects to create characters and items from The Enormous Turnip. It was wonderful to see the children using their creativity and teamwork to recreate parts of the story using sticks, leaves, stones and other treasures they found.

A huge well done to our Star of the Week, Freddie! Freddie has worked incredibly hard on his maths during busy time and has shown fantastic enthusiasm for his learning. We were especially impressed when he independently used the division sign while grouping objects.

We are very proud of all the children for their hard work and enthusiasm this week. Have a wonderful weekend!

Have a great weekend
