Autumn Term 1 Week 2
Week 2!
We started lots of new learning in Falcons this week!
We started our science topic off by thinking about what a material is? We spoke and brainstormed about different materials we knew of and then went on a treasure hunt around the classroom to see if we could spot them!
In maths this week we have focused on sorting, counting and representing objects. We have also started to think about how we can compare numbers and what different symbols we can use.
Our English learning this week has been based around The Great Fire of London. The children wrote sentences about a picture of the fire as well as drew their own pictures and wrote sentences using adjectives to describe the fire.
In RE our big question is Who Made the World? We discussed what RE is and what a religion is. Then we made front covers where we drew and wrote about who we think made the world.
The children have been fantastic during our Sounds-Write lessons where we are recapping the end of the initial code. We are working really hard at distinguishing our 'b' and 'd' and we have learnt a new trick to help us!
We are looking forward to more fun and learning next week!
Have a lovely weekend.
Miss Hamilton :)
