Autumn Term 1 Week 6
Hello Yellow and Taekwondo!
This week, the children at By Brook got a chance to dress up for children's mental health day. It was lovely to see all the yellow that created such a happy environment!
We also had a chance to learn some taekwondo! Falcons had a taster session where they learnt some basics and a chance to see what it was about! They will be coming home with a voucher and leaflet if you are interested in taking lessons outside of school!
Thank you to everyone who came to watch our Harvest service this week! The children did really well to remember their lines and speak so clearly. We hope you enjoyed them! We had a chance to show the rest of the school, as well as the preschool, this week!
In English, we finished writing our own thankfulness prayers by practising sentences and speaking them aloud, then wrote them up in neat! We have also started our new topic on diary writing! We have discussed what we need to include when we write a diary and also had a chance at sequencing our day and practising specific language such as time conjunctions and verbs.
In maths, we have been ordering numbers to 20 and practised writing our teen numbers! Next week we are starting addition and looking at part part-whole models to help us!
In RE, we have been learning about the Creation Story, we acted out the different days the world was created in and wrote about one of the days in our books!
Thank you for another great week Falcons.
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Hamilton :)
