Spring Term 2 Week 1
First week back after half term!
In maths, we have been learning how to count in 2s. We learnt a catchy song that helped us remember the pattern, and we had lots of fun matching up odd socks before hanging them on our washing line. We also completed different activities to help us practise counting confidently and quickly.
In English, we used the book Ivy and the Lonely Raincloud to help us develop our comprehension skills. We worked on predicting what might happen next in the story and evaluating how the characters were feeling. The children shared some brilliant ideas!
In geography, we thought about how the weather changes throughout the year. We discussed what the weather is like in each season and how it can affect the clothes we wear and the activities we do.
In RE, we talked and wrote about our favourite day of the week and explained why it is special to us.

Special Visitor!
One of the highlights of our week was meeting James Dasaolu. We were so inspired by his story of becoming an Olympic athlete. The children loved completing the fitness circuits with him and showed fantastic enthusiasm and determination!
