Autumn 1 Week 3

Another fabulous week in Owls Class! This week was the first week of full days and the children did absolutely incredibly well, especially with beginning their phonics sessions. This week, and next week, we are looking at the sounds m, a and t. Owls did a great job at reading the sounds and manipulating them to make the words am, at and mat!

In maths, we looked at subitising and recognising our numbers to 5. We used five frames to practise adding 'one more' and counted out the right number of objects to match our numerals.

The children enjoyed their second gymnastics session, moving around in different ways and balancing!

Well done to our Star of the week... Sami! Sami has shown such a helpful, caring and polite attitude every single day. Well done Sami!

A few reminders for the coming week:

- Please can the children wear white t-shirts and green jumpers with their PE uniform on PE days.

- Next week we will be searching for signs of autumn in our willy walk on Wednesday and describing things in literacy.

Well done to all the owls and have a wonderful weekend!

Many thanks,

Miss Slaney :)
