Spring 2 Week 6

We managed to fit an awful lot into our last three days of Spring Term in Owls this week!

To conclude our topic on Around the World, we took part in our own 'real-life' flight! We were visited by an Air Steward who talked us through her job, taught us how to do an on-flight safety briefing, and then it was time to take off! We 'flew' in our plane, had some 'staff' (children) check the aisles and make sure everything was ready to go and even had some treats to take away with us! Thank you to the parents who came to support and run today's session. The children had an absolutely amazing time and talked about it all day!

We have also been doing lots of Easter-themed activities in class this week. We decorated Easter eggs using paint and cotton buds and filled in patterns using beads and gems. We also followed instructions to make our own Easter nests, which we then enjoyed at our Easter Tea Party this afternoon. The children even tried a cup of (decaff) tea!

We also performed in our Easter Service along with Key Stage One. The children showed off their Easter art work and shared some Easter facts. They also sang the Easter songs and did the actions with such gusto! I was very impressed.

Well done to our Star of the week... Jayden! Jayden has worked incredibly hard this week on making good choices and has impressed all the adults in Owls with his beautiful behaviour. Congratulations on completing another term Owls! Whilst it may have been a short one it has been a busy one! I hope you all have a wonderful Easter break and I will see you in April for Summer 1. Our next topic will be 'How things grow'. Keep your eyes peeled on the website for a curriculum newsletter and updates to PE days for next term.
