Autumn Term 2 Weeks 5 and 6
Santa run and Nativity!
We have had a busy last two weeks in Falcons class!
Last week we had our annual Santa run! Each class ran around the school field and through various obstacles along the way. They were treated with a warm hot chocolate and a brownie at the end! All children did brilliantly and it was great to see lots of Santa hats!
We have been working on a special piece of writing called 'The night the animals came into the garden'. Each child has written an excellent story based on the John Lewis advert with Buster the dog. We enjoyed exploring different ways to describe the animals and how Buster was feeling. We did this through lots of role play and sharing our ideas together.
All the children's hard work paid off in our Nativity performances! It was lovely for the children to see their family and friends watching over the week. We hope you all enjoyed!
The children have enjoyed our Geography topic this term: Where in the world are we? They answered the big question by making a mood board of all the things they had learnt this term. Including a map of the UK with capital cities, a map of Yatton Keynell and showing their understanding of North, East, South and West.
This week, we have missed lots of children from being poorly and hope to see everyone back and healthy next week! We have been practising our maths learning from this term as well as carrying on with learning the /e/ sound in Phonics.
I hope everyone has a relaxing weekend and see you next week for our final week before Christmas!
