6th December 2020
It has been a very exciting week with the appearance of our elf – the countdown to Christmas is on! Christmas cards can be sent in on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and should have the class name/number of the recipient written on the envelope too.
This week we have written letters, finished our addition and subtraction unit in maths, practised finding the pattern for adding the ‘ed’ endings to different verbs, practised poses, travelling and jumps in gymnastics and discussed what matters most of all to us. We were pleased to have worship with Trevor and Open the Book this week!
On Friday we created our Christingle oranges and learnt about what each part of the Christingle means. We then joined Owls and Falcons class for a lovely Christingle service.
This week we celebrated Jesse for his amazing work in maths and Alfie for showing our value of compassion- well done both!
Reverse Advent Calendar
Thank you to those who have already brought in food for the food bank after being chosen for our reverse advent calendar so far. Your child will bring home a slip when they are chosen.
As per the letter that went out last week, we will be participating in the NSPCC’s Speak out. Stay safe. Online programme on Wednesday the 9th December. This consists of an online assembly and supporting classroom activities.
I look forward to hearing about what you got up to over the weekend/week now that clubs outside of school are able to run again.
