Spring 2 Week 1

World Book Day!

This week we celebrated lots of achievements and learning again in Kestrels!

We have been focusing on our 'fun little booklets' to practice for the ones that we enjoy doing next term. They have been coming home with your children daily, so please do go through them at home to help their understanding.

To finish off the week we have enjoyed our last forest school session of the year with Mr Summers. This time we made dens, created homes and houses for little figurines and used a Kelly Kettle to make hot chocolate to enjoy in the sunshine! We had such a great time and showed team work, determination and initiative. We also enjoyed our world book day in school! We shared stories, with teachers swapping classrooms to bring us a new story, we even had a book scavenger hunt where Miss Reed wrote clues to find the next book around school. We had a great time exploring stories. Due to forest school all afternoon we will be sharing our plate creations on Monday afternoon.

Star of the Week:

This week our star of the week is ... William! William has had a wonderful week in which he showed perseverance, great focus and courage! Well done William!
