Spring 1 Week 2

What have we been up to this week?

This week in Hawks we have enjoyed learning all about multiplication and division in maths. We have been focusing on dividing and multiplying by 10 and 100 and using our place value knowledge to help us. In English we have been letter writing and have finished some very persuasive and informative letters to Mrs Henshall about the value of swimming in our curriculum. In science we have started to look at what happens to food when we eat it and focused on food chains this week. In Geography we have started to think about what we know about Florida and how the weather impacts there. In Music we are starting to look at Samba, identifying rhythm, pattern and instruments.

In PE we have loved starting our swimming sessions again and have also enjoyed TAG Rugby. This week the Year 6s joined us and we worked very well together.

Star of the week:

This week our star of the week is ... George! George has been making very positive choices within the classroom and this has shown within his learning. Well done George!

Reminders for next week:

-Please bring in reading records each day and read 5x per week at home.

- PE days are Wednesday (swimming) and Friday (TAG Rugby).

Have a lovely weekend :).
