Closure Work

Thank you for all your support over the term

As you know next term will be slightly different with more children having the option to come back to school.  This means that all teachers will be in school and most teaching different groups of children.

Home learning will still continue but may not be in as much detail.  Maths and English activities will be the main focus.  Teachers will still respond to emails though this might not be as quickly as it has been in the last few weeks.  Please bear with us as we adjust to the new routines from 1st June

I have added some information here to support you with reading at home. There is also a resource that you could you use to help plan your daily routines.

The link below is also to support you setting up routines

These materials have been produced by the Education Endowment Foundation.

I hope you find it useful

I am also attaching a Sports Newsletter from Miss Reed with some updated resources.

Here you will find work and resources for your children during school closure. This work must be completed unless your child is ill. Please check back as work will be updated each week, unless the teacher is ill. If this is the case then please refer to school updates of 18.03.20 which lists activities your child can be doing to continue their learning. All children will be sent home an exercise book to record their learning during this time. All resources can be found on this class page.

Children should be engaged in home learning for a minimum of 3 hours per day.

To be completed daily:

30 minutes of reading. Complete a reading activity alongside this.

30 minutes of spelling practice using suggested activities for year 3, 4, 5 & 6 tricky words.

30 minutes of maths activities. (See maths section of weekly learning plan e.g. Fluent in 5 etc)

Review 1 knowledge organiser, including facts and vocabulary.

Appropriate children must continue to use IDL.
