The children should be reading at least 5X a week and their reading records need to be signed once a week by an adult. If they read 5x a week they will receive house points and will also receive a raffle ticket to be in a chance of winning an end of-term prize. 

Spellings will be set and tested weekly and students are encouraged to practise their times tables at home. 

Year 5 also now have the opportunity to take extra learning home. In class, they can help themselves to a range of maths and English questions.  This is optional but recommended for students to continue practising the key skills we have learnt in class.
